Advanced: formula & source
Formula base = ((1651.94 − 475) / (1 + 2,500,000 · e^(−0.009·r)) + 475) × 1.5

Official formula published by Blizzard on 2026-02-18 for the WoW Anniversary realms. This is the curve currently live.

How this works

Each bracket's rating sets its weekly arena points (from a logistic curve, scaled per bracket). This tool sums the cost of the pieces you pick, then for each bracket divides that total by its weekly payout to estimate the weeks needed. Points accumulate week to week, so the total is what you bank toward. You only earn from one bracket at a time, so the three columns are alternatives — not additive. Prices are the confirmed Anniversary Season 1 vendor costs.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to buy TBC arena gear?

It depends on your team rating in each bracket — which sets your weekly arena points — and the total cost of the pieces you want. Tick the items, enter your 2v2/3v3/5v5 ratings, and each column divides the cart total by that bracket’s weekly payout to estimate the weeks.

Do arena points from different brackets add together for buying gear?

No. You only earn points from your single highest-paying eligible bracket each week — they do not stack. The three columns here are alternatives: pick the bracket you actually grind, and read its timeline.

Which arena pieces have a rating requirement?

On the Anniversary realms, shoulders need 2000 rating and all weapons (one-hand, two-hand, bow/gun) need 1700. Everything else is ungated — you can buy it at any rating once you've banked the points.
