Frequently asked questions
How much crit rating is 1% crit in TBC?
At level 70, 22.08 critical strike rating grants 1% critical strike chance — the same conversion for both melee/ranged and spell crit.
How much haste rating is 1% haste?
15.77 haste rating grants 1% haste at level 70, for both melee and spell haste. See the haste / GCD-cap calculator for the cast-time breakpoints.
Why does expertise show skill points instead of a percent?
Expertise rating buys whole expertise skill points (3.94 rating each at 70), and the game truncates the fraction — so this converter floors it. Each point removes 0.25% dodge and parry from your target.
Do these conversions account for diminishing returns?
No. Dodge, parry and defense feed the game's avoidance diminishing-returns formula, which this converter does not model — the numbers here are the raw rating-to-effect conversions before DR.
